Following her recent test at Kentucky Speedway, Pippa Mann will return to the cockpit of one of Sam Schmidt Motorsports cars for a one-day outing on the road course at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama.

The test, scheduled for Monday 9 November, will give the British driver another chance to impress the team as she takes to the 2.3-mile road course for the first time. She completed a successful test with the Schmidt operation on the Kentucky at the end of October, finishing just 0.02secs off Charlie Kimball's best for the AFS/Andretti Green Racing team, which was also in action, and a couple of tenths faster than 2009 team-mate Martin Plowman, who has already agreed terms with AFS/AGR.

"Kentucky was a really good experience," Mann noted, "The Sam Schmidt Motorsports car is very different from the Panther Racing car. The engineers have a lot of experience and knowledge, and it was great to learn so much more about oval racing in just one day.

"The team made me feel very welcome and I'm definitely looking forward to getting back into one of their cars and seeing what's possible on a road course. My main goal at the test on Monday is to understand what their car wants, and then start learning how to put that into practice.”
