Andretti Green Racing expects to have the same four drivers behind the wheel of its IndyCar Series entries next season as it currently campaigns in 2008.

With veteran Tony Kanaan inking a new five-year deal with the team - in the face of rumours linking him to Target Chip Ganassi Racing - only Marco Andretti, son of co-owner Michael, needs to put pen top paper to ensure that the quartet remains in place, as both Danica Patrick and 2008 rookie champion-elect Hideki Mutoh are already on board for another year.

Andretti Sr told the Indianapolis Star newspaper that Marco was 'close' to agreeing the terms of a contract that will keep him on board for another two years, despite speculation that there was some unrest among the driving corps, with both Andretti and Patrick coming in for criticism during the season. All four drivers were called before the management for a 'clear the air chat' after the recent Edmonton round.

"It's just a few [details]," Andretti, who is not playing any part in the contract talks, said of his son's ongoing discussion.

Amid claims that the team has suffered a poor season by its own high standards, despite wins for both Kanaan and Patrick, and the former only being ruled out of title contention this past weekend at Infineon Raceway, Andretti insisted that little would change behind the scenes, with his two co-owners, Kevin Savoree and Kim Green, returning for another year.

"We're probably getting along better now," Andretti confirmed, "Part of the strength of this programme is that we don't always agree. We have three different ways of coming about it. The thing that really works for our team is that we all listen and don't jump to conclusions on things."
