A purpose built circuit that can hold half a million fans???

I'm guessing either there's a lot of money in China... or the Chinese love the IRL... much unlike F1... don't remember how well A1 or V8Supercars was recieved when they went over there....

A double-header in Brazil in March would be a good idea.

Barber has nice facilities but it's a glorified go-kart track. I read somewhere where they may construct a decent straight and a bit more track if IndyCars are set to race there.

I'm glad the IRL is looking at expansion, but it is interesting how it's starting to look like Champ Car II. This is quite different than why Tony George envisioned when started the series.

If only the Panoz DP01 was the car of choice, till the new formula arrives.

Agree with Don - I thought the strategy for the IRL was a north American series with a race in Japan to keep Honda happy. Yet here they go again flying cars around the world to venues with potentialy small crowds. I can smell the burning $$$$$$'s

Two races in Brazil in March is a great idea, split the travel costs between two promoters. Forget about China, it is a big waste of time. The IRL should concentrate on building itself in the western hemisphere. And what about Mexico?
