Bold strategy by Dario and Chip Ganassi when they knew they didn't have the pace of Briscoe and Dixon. It paid off with the first race in 14 years to have no cautions.

Was a great race by Franchitti, must have required a lot of patience to wait until the last 10 or so laps to take the lead.

Briscoe, Franchitti and Dixon had awesome pace, I think they all lapped the field, some being lapped twice.

Clearly lost no speed upon taking a year out to give NASCAR a go anyway.

Dario is an absolute bona fide class act, more power to his elbow.

Dario, sheer class, quality, and a really nice guy too. Jensen, take a look at the way Mr. Cool does it, I think you could learn a trick or two.

Nice tribute to Greg Moore also. Moore was a fantastic talent, gone too soon.

Dario did a great job, but there were a couple stories missed by this report. For the first 8 or 9 laps, Franchitti and Dixon lapped literally side by side all the way around the track. It was awesome to watch. And late in the race, Dan Wheldon managed to take Danicka Patrick and himself out of the race by exiting his pit box right into the side of Patrick's car, spinning her backward into her pit box. Bozos! There's no excuse for his crew not to realize that her pit was waiting for her right in front of his spot. It was a shame for her as she had run consistently in the top 6 up until then.
