I imagine Ecclestone will have a clause in the contract with interlagos saying no rival series allowed, shame though but good news that theres another race abroad, just wish they'd come to england like champ car did at brands

It a natural to be racing in Brazil, with 4 drivers from there.

Now they need to get back to Australia, and make the Gold Coast Indy - INDY again.

They could race the external ring of Interlagos...
And yes...they do need new chassis and engine suppliers.
Wouldn't it be cool (I know they technically can't due to regulations and the fact they race ovals) if they could purchase the 1 and 2 year old F1 chassis and use them in the series?

WOW, another p*ss borind street race. Very little overtaking in god awfull lookin buckets with weedy little engines. Is indycar even trying to kill itself? Look, forget about Brazil, get back to say ,Cleveland(Burke lake airport) or Belle Isle(Detroit)get back the old turbo engines with a few engine builders, get lola&dallara to build some Good looking cars and make this once amazing form of motorsport great again. Its soo depressing knowing there are some teams and drivers that deserve so much more from this series. Im amazed Roger Penske,Chip Ganassi are sticking around and not concentrating on LeMans/Nascar.Get with it Indy!!! Its not all about the 500!!!!!

Hey airconjohn -

You must be confused. "another p*ss boring street race"? I believe you're thinking of F1. Indycar's street races are pretty good.

I'm glad their back in Brazil. Look for a huge crowd cheering on their drivers.

Look for big things happening with Indycar in the coming years with the IZOD sponsorship, unification and the new formula coming in 2 years.

Stephens right, the IZOD deal is just the beginning of whats gonna be a great period for single seater fans, and yeah indycar street races are usually pretty entertaining, theres naturally gonna be the odd boring race its just a shame people only pay attention to indycars when things arent going well. Bring on brazil

The IndyCar Series is desperately in need of a shake-up.

These cars are obsolete by now. They were already far from the most advanced form of single seater motorsport back when they were introduced and they're certainly not any better now. The Indy 500 was the only thing that lured the big teams to this series because, truth be told, there's not much more of interest in it. It lacks the sheer power of the multi-manufacturer turbos of the old CART World Series, it lack the competition between chassis-builders, the eventful and exciting races, the great drivers... That series produced some great, great drivers.
