IndyCar » Motegi forced to switch to road course

IndyCar confirmed that the series will still be going to Japan one last time in September - but that the recent earthquake means that the race will switch from oval to road course.

Yes, yes , yes. I think the fans will even enjoy the road course a lot more. I definitely will.

That actually throws a curve ball in the championship. That works in the favor of team penske's squad since they're stronger on the road courses. This single race could be the break will power needed to finally be champion...We'll all see
