IndyCar » Power and Franchitti clash again at Mid-Ohio

Hopes that hostilities between Dario Franchitti and Will Power had ceased after their on-track clash at Toronto seemed dashed as the two exchanged contact and words at Mid-Ohio.

Will needs to get over whatever "favoritism" he thinks Dario is getting. It is really starting to effect his driving and mental state on the track. Dario has been involved in open-wheel racing for a long time and has a great respect for it...so it is natural that he has a close relationship with Indycar officials and track owners. Dario is constantly talking to Randy about improvements to the series because he wants to see it thrive. I also recall that Dario was the Driver Safety Rep. So pointing out potential problems and getting them fixed is his responsibility. There is nothing stopping Will from getting involved off the track.
I am sure Simon Pagenaud is happy Dario got the Turn 1 issue fixed.

Looks mostly to me like Power is frustrated at his continual bad luck. OK, he had contact with Dario before it happened, but he was about a second too late on his first pit stop to get in before the yellow and then got caught out again at the second. That sort of thing has been happening to him all year, along with a few pit crew errors that, Indy aside, the Ganassi team have avoided.

Awesome race from Dixon though, he was flawless all race.

I understand that Will is frustrated about the rotten luck...but complaining about curbs being painted??? Dario also had a run of bad luck in the middle of the season: Indy 500 and draw at 2nd Texas race. Scott Dixon has had more bad luck then either one of them and he has not let it consume him. He just goes out and makes the best of the situation. The difference between Scott/Dario and Will is that the Ganassi boys seem to be able to go out and focus on the race. There is still time for Will to catch up but he needs to get his head on straight and forget about the other stuff.
