IndyCar » Power fined $30,000 over New Hampshire

Will Power has been handed a $30,000 fine and placed on probation for his outburst and obscene gestures following the aborted restart at the end of the New Hampshire race.

He's human and his reaction was of such... after such a stupid and ridiculous decision made by Barnhart and the track marshals it should have been them to receive the penalty for risking the lives of the drivers...
I wonder if something more serious had happened if any of them would have suffered any consequences...

I hope this doesnt calm him down !. Its the best bif of the race when he's slagging off the officals or callingdriver dirty or ****rs like he did in Canada !

Well paying a $30,000 dollar fine won't bother Roger Penske much, and I suppose the point about family friendly TV coverage has some truth, but I still think Barnhart was far more in the wrong and he appears to have got off scot free. Shame on Indycar!

I think the wrong person was fined. While the gesture was uncalled for, after what happened I probably would have done the same. Maybe $10,000 would have been more appropriate.
