He's got to get his act together, it's been a decade and more since he's been under the all but total control of booze and many more still that it was apparent he had 'issues' with's time to quit when it not only affects yourself but those dearest to's now gone beyond even that, Indy have suspended his pre race 2seater role along with any ambassadorial duties, indefinitely they'd be a disgrace if he's allowed to continue without seeking lasting help but I've a feeling they'll just brush it under the carpet, suggesting it a 'private matter' and he'll be back next season. It's less than 2yrs ago that he announced he'd 'conquered his demons' but sadly it was all but temporary.

He clearly didnt learn his last lesson. What a sad state of affairs. I thought the US had a 'proper' legal system if the stories coming from there are anything to go by.....However some famous and well off folk can seem to get off with a slap in the wrist for serious offences , could this be regarded as an A2 Felony????

We wanted to get rid of the clowns in race control, but, not like this. I guess most of the shine has come off the Unser name. I bet if this had happened in New Mexico about 25 years ago, they would have taken him home to the Unser compound, and nobody would have heard about it.

How about lifting his license for 5 years, maximum fine and 1000 hours of community service dictated and monitored by the state...all doable.
He's one dumb SOB. I had no idea he was driving the 2 up VIP rigs...and a key part of race control!...with Barhart no less.
It's no wonder IndyCar is such a mess. Without the Indy 500, who'd bother paying any attention to this mish mash of a series.
Lt'l Al is a user, and a loser...common bum...
