Am I the only fan paying my tribute to Dan's family here??? I am so sad to see so few comments on other news stories and none so far on this one. If this had been Rossi in MotoGP there would be up to 1000 comments (if not more) per news story. Where are all the IndyCar fans?????? Dan brought unspeakable joy to indyCar and paid the ultimate price for the farce the final 'showdown race' was. Godspeed to his family

Hey John...I think a lot of people are just stunned from the loss of this true gentleman of a talent. I haven't been on crash for about a week, but it doesn't mean millions aren't thinking of Dan firstly,as well as his family. God be with him.In this hard time of mourning,I cannot imagine how difficult a mother, father, brothers and sisters could contain themselves, yet thank the people for their comments of support. That really shows where Dan gets his true quality of person...from the roots.
Dan will be miss,no doubt.

Stunned & Heartbroken.
It makes you want to be able to literally go back in
time & stop it from happening...while you are watching it.
His death is tragic beyond words. It just hurts.
My heart is with his family, each and every one of them.

To say we were stunned would be an understatement. My husband and I were also heartbroken - and I agree with Elizabeth - if only we could go back in time... Dan is in heaven now, but his family is left to endure the pain. May God help them through this unbearable time and, in time, heal their hearts! R.I.P. Dan - you will be greatly missed!!
