Of course he's on the pace! Why wouldn't he be? Name a top F1 driver who came to CART who wasn't on the pace? I am not a big fan of his but I readily admit he is still probably quicker that probably half the F1 grid, and the CART car, while fast, is just a little slower than an F1 machine.
Rubens is still likely "faster" than the CART machinery and therefore his race experience and knowledge of carbon brakes will be a great asset. I hope he comes to CART as his profile AND his pedigree are far more impressive than, say, promoting the Danica's in the future.

Terrific, This could help off set the loss of Danica. Hope Barrichell gets a good ride, terrific if he ran ALMS.

If IndyCar were serious on running a proper business and show they would pay Barrichello out of their pocket for him to race there. Let's see how serious these guys are about growing the series!

Why will any race team manager consider an over the hill racer a candidate for a prime seat in their car, this character have not achieve anything in his racing career, He's not about to start now.

So Ruben's first test in an Indycar, on an unknown track, and he's on the pace? Doesn't say a lot for the Indycar regulars!

However, if Ruben's does manage to get into Indycar, it should be interesting!

Oval track racing has nothing in common with the style of F1, Barrichello is a name with the best credentials possible, how could he not be an asset to the beleaguered Indy Racing League?
