Good on Rubens, he has racing in his blood and I think he will do really well in Indycr racing. It's just a shame that F1 is getting full up with pay drivers and not those who deserve to be there

I feel this could end in tragedy. Just retire and enjoy your family Rubens.

Jeez James, try and be a bit more positive!

I see what your saying about enjoying his family though.

It is already a tragedy! This underscores the fact that Ruben's time in F1 was truely over. Why would Barricello want to waste his talent in a NASCAR feeder series is beyond knowing.

the most involvement he should have in indy is as a team owner or driver coach. he's too old for this.

After hearing an experienced current F1 driver allude to the deadly seriousness of oval racing, it would be interesting to hear from all the w@nkers out there that say roundy-round racing is easy and the only real racing is on circuits of F1, which are so wide, lined with cushions and have such generous run-off areas that one hardly has a real "off" anymore -- not one that costs much time or hardware anyway.

I'd like to see Schumi do Nascar or IndyCar. I think he'd be great anywhere -- he has the balls. So do many other F1 guys.

I think there should be ovals in F1. Bring back the old Monza banking, and the Avus (not an oval, but it goes straight-left straight-left and takes balls)

Agree with you NutBallRacer and Rodriguez!

Too bad for F1. Keep bringing in more kids with lots of money and no personality.

I can't wait to see Rubens attacking the IndyCar season in anger. It will invigorate him and be terrific theater.

Someone mentioned they feared tragedy, I know that this is a very real aspect of indycar racing but combined with the unfortunate and sad sad loss of Dan Wheldon and bringing an f1 driver into the sport could really improve safety. Rubens drove in f1 for 19 seasons and in that time he has seen so many safety features become mandatory within f1 and also he has been with a team that even though they are designed to slow you down they still dominated the season. He has the experience to make it work!

If safety improves then I would imagine that more and more sponsors and drivers would be attracted to the sport and make it as popular as f1 globally.
