IndyCar » Junqueira replaces Newgarden at Baltimore


Bruno Junqueira has been called up by Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing at short notice to replace regular driver Josef Newgarden, who has required surgery on his hand after his violent crash with Sebastien Bourdais at Sonoma on Sunday.

How effective will he be. He has to drive in the ALMS race in the LMPC car and then the Indycar race. That's double duty.

He has also never competed with the new Indycar chassis. He will heavily rely on his experience.

But his bank account will be more than happy to oblige.

Missed out on the Williams drive against Button all them years ago and how different have their career paths been since.

A fast driver on his day but has failed to show the promise he showed in F3000.

Sure Button is now world famous, but dont feel so bad for Bruno. A driver of his versatility is raking in a good living in the U.S market, as opposed to someone of similar talent in Europe. All without the pressure associated with the F1 environment.

But don't forget that it takes more than skill to make your name in racing ($$$).
