My vote still goes to Will Power. He is outstanding. All he had to do was finish the last race, but oddly the team was forcing him to attack.

They should have made Briscoe yield first place to Will Power at Sonoma. He thoroughly dominated that race.

But since Briscoe is Daddy Penske's favorite driver in the team , it seems no one wanted to spoil the big Honcho's fun, so they let Briscoe take the win.

Given that Roger Penske himself also calls the race strategy for Briscoe, he strategy calls have yielded the least wins compared to Tim Cindric and John Erickson in the past 2 years. Maybe it was for the boss' personal gratification, but it cost a title.

I vote for Will Power not for throwing the title away 3 years running.. (we could also look at Fernando Alonso this way.. couldn't we?) But instead I vote Will Power for being the man to beat for three years running.. obviously if anyone wants the IndyCar title they have to go through Will Power -- also I Vote Power for being clearly the fastest driver in IndyCar bar none. If he finally licks his oval demons he may be unstoppable.

Its a shame he didnt have the funds to progress through the european ladder to get to F1, as Power is proper F1 material, in indycar on road courses he looks like Senna with a clear talent advantage over anyone, if he wasn't in his 30s now F1 teams would be mad not to sign him up.

Power had to follow where the money took him.

So he had to leave Europe and his F1 aspirations for Champ Car when an Australian businessman looking for an Australian driver, wanted to sponsor an American racing team to further his business interests in America.
