It was wet, then it was dry, then it was wet again. But just when it appeared Paul di Resta had clinched it, Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton blasted his way to a fourth consecutive pole position.

I feel a bit strange to say it but well done Van Der Garde, Chilton & Bianchi too, I know the weather helped but they made Williams & Toro Rosso (who should both know better) look like idiots.

slick. no, lulu got pole because he was the last on track over the finish line. had there been a car behind him, it would probably have been faster again!. look at how fast the track was drying and heating up. in the space of a couple of minutes, times improved dramatically.

some teams made inspired decisions, others made chaotic decisions. this happens quite often at spa. if there are changeable conditions tomorrow, the right calls at the right time will decide the result.
