Mark Webber admits that being handed a penalty for cadging a lift home after the Singapore Grand Prix is 'frustrating'.

Webber have only himself to blame for his stupid and idiotic act, the stewards were totally correct in their penalty imposition, Alonso's act in stopping at that particular corner and in that particular place and manner was no less idiotic and stupid.

Webber is setting a dangerous precedent by defending himself here. Young drivers may think its "cool" to flag down an "F1 taxi" in a blind curve while running across the track to "mount" the "ride."
If you're gonna do it, then do it on a safe part of the track.

Well look at is this way, last year Vettel came from 24th to 3rd, and at this race Raikkonen went from 13th to 3rd. If the weather in Korea is funny, or if there is a crash, then Webber still might be in with a good shot. He should get a top 10 finish easily, I couldn't imagine Sauber's and Toro Rosso's holding him up much.

I've used my 15 free hits in three different browsers and all the different IP addresses I can used to bypass their extortionate paywall. Unfortunately there's another F1 fan in the IT dept who had the same idea....selfish git :)

Sunny still won't tell me which driver is organizing the podium booing.

Anyway Webber did got a ride in a Formula 1 Ferrari. There are not too many drivers that had a chance like that with the icon team of this sport. :)
As for the compromise about next race? Webber need only to read into the sites like this. There are many experts on these sites that may suggest Webber the best strategy for the South Korean GP. Maybe later some people will come up at doing the job of Horner and Newey, in this site as well. It's a long way until qualifying.

A lot of people seem to have missed the point that the reprimands are not for the lift back but rather the dangerous nature of Alonso stopping after a blind corner on the racing line and Webber then running across the circuit in front of other cars having to avoid Alonso's Ferrari. Also that both drivers have been given exactly the same reprimand as a penalty but it is only Webber who has had to take a penalty due to his previous indiscretions. I am sure if the incident had happened somewhere where Alonso could have pulled off the circuit to let Webber climb on that the stewards would not have penalised either of them.
