At the restart, TONY KANAAN was the leader and he held the lead for another 18 laps before his AGR team-mate DARIO FRANCHITTI took the lead when Kanaan pitted.

After Franchitti's pit-stop, JAQUES LAZIER assumed the lead. As the pit-stops continued, the line-up shuffled and, by lap 150, the three-quarter mark, Kanaan has resumed the lead. At lap 150, there have been nine leaders and 22 lead changes, with Kanaan leading the most laps so far.

On lap 150, another caution, for MARTY ROTH, who hit the wall in another solo accident. He was running 23rd at the time, ten laps down. He walked to the ambulance.

The top five are Kanaan, SAM HORNISH Jr, Franchitti, DANICA PATRICK and polesitter HELIO CASTRONEVES.
