All indycar need to change is the catch fencing and replace with the steel cage setup we Use at the Australian formula 1race it wouldnt tear cars up at all and if they are worried about strength run traditional catch fence behind it as im sure if it failed it would still have taken enough energy out of the crash for it to be minor contact with the catch fence
