BOSSMAN1 Strangely enough Mansell did drive other other race cars before 1992, both F1 and feeder series, without any kind of 'talent aids'. The problem is that F1 drivers of recent years come from a background where all the cars are much more technically sophisticated than Indy machines, and these guys are not used to using their talent to drive around problems, simply because the current technology won't let them. I don't think today's guys are fundamentally any less talented, they just don't have the background.
