After plenty of speculation about her future, Danica Patrick has agreed a deal to remain in the IndyCar Series with Andretti Green Racing.
According to a report in the
Indianapolis Star, the 27-year-old has signed a three-year extension to her current deal, which was due to expire at the end of the season.
Patrick had been linked with a possible switch to NASCAR for the 2010 campaign, but will instead stay in open-wheel competition as she looks to add to her current tally on a single victory in IndyCar competition – which came last season at Twin Ring Motegi.
Patrick currently sits fifth in the IndyCar Series standings and will continue to run with backing from Motorola in the #7 entry next season.
