Luca Filippi set for Indy 500 debut

"Being appointed as the test and reserve driver for Michael's IndyCar team is something I'm also very excited about," agreed Saavedra. "I want to thank him for that opportunity. I can't wait the season to start!"

Seriously, that man is an enigma. Throughout his career he seems to have gone back and forth from useless to brilliant... Which is probably why he hasn't got any F1 offers on the table. Hard to tell really if it's because of the equipment, if he's had some kind of motivational issues or if he just cracks under pressure, but either way I wish him the best of luck in the US.

Indy is a helluva place to start. He'll never experienced anything like that in his life. The speed, size and scope of it all. Hope it's not too overwhelming for him. I wish him the best.
