Rubens Barrichello to compete in final round of the Brazilian Stock Car Championship
Barrichello in Stock Car outing
Rubens Barrichello will make a guest appearance in the final round of the Brazilian Stock Car Championship at Interlagos in December.

The former F1 racer, who finished twelfth in his debut season in the IndyCar Series this season, will compete in a Peugeot 408 for the Full Time Sports team.

As part of the deal, a donation of £70,000 will be made to the Instituto Barrichello Kanaan, the childrens's charity that the former Ferrari and Honda driver runs with IndyCar team-mate Tony Kanaan.

"I think I have watched every Stock Car race for a long time and knew that one day I would be there," Barrichello said. "This time around there was a reason to be involved because of the benefit to the Instituto Barrichello Kanaan.

"It was not a difficult decision to accept the call. The poor children have already won even before the race begins.

"There are a few tests, then, for me, the focus is on the achievement of the Instituto and driving a Stock Car in front of the Brazilian public."
