Tagliani returns for new season with Herta

"Chemistry is perhaps the most over-used and under-defined word in sport, but it is real. Alex is at the centre of the chemistry that makes this team work as well as it does," contributed Malloy. "I'm thrilled that we have re-signed Alex for 2013.

"Alex is as dedicated as they come," continued Malloy. "He really, truly is embedded in this team. He spends a lot of time with all the crew at the shop and is very meticulous about all the details involved with getting the car and the team's performance up to championship-winning calibre.

"We can't wait to start racing in 2013," he added, already looking forward to the season opener in St Petersburg in just over two months' time.
