8Star Motorsport have signed 2014 IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Canada series champion Scott Hargrove for the Indy Lights season opening races at the Firestone St Petersburg Grand Prix.

Hargrove will be driving 8Star's appropriately-numbered #8 Dallara IL-15, which replaces the previous Indy Lights spec chassis.

"We are very happy to confirm Scott Hargrove for the Indy Lights 2015 season opener at St Pete," team manager Gary Neal commented, "Without underestimating the level of talent in this new Indy Lights, we have developed the car very well and have tested for a competitive time so far. Scott has been a pleasure to work with and we are eager to get out there."
