IndyCar: Pippa Mann rejoins Dale Coyne for Indy 500 bid

Pippa Mann will be back with Dale Coyne Racing for the third consecutive year as she bids to make the starting grid of the 2015 Indianapolis 500.
Britain' Pippa Mann will be back behind the wheel of a Verizon IndyCar entry next month for the 99th running of the Indianapolis 500.

Mann returns after sealing a new deal with Dale Coyne Racing, the team behind her last two Indy 500 starts in 2013 and 2014. Last year she qualified a personal best 22nd and went on to finish the race in 24th position.

"The last time I strapped into a race car may have been last May, but I feel very fortunate to have had such strong support from the Dale Coyne Racing team and from Team Owner Dale Coyne over the past 12 months," said Mann, who has seven starts in the Verizion IndyCar Series in total since her début with Conquest Racing at Indianapolis in 2011.

"Pippa is extremely dedicated to her efforts as a driver at Indy and we look forward to our continued success with this partnership," added team owner Dale Coyne.

For the second consecutive year, Mann will be driving in her familiar pink gear as she races in support of Susan G Komen, the world's largest breast cancer organisation, and its mission to end breast cancer forever.

"There is nothing that makes our team prouder than to represent Susan G Komen and all of the hard work that goes into the organization's efforts both in the US and around the world," commented Coyne.

"We are all thrilled to bring this pink program back for a second year running," added Mann.

"It was an honour last year to be able to partner with Susan G Komen," she continued. "By bringing Komen's iconic images and colours to the Indy 500, we were able to promote its cause, while raising funds and awareness for Komen's mission."
