IndyCar star Ryan Hunter-Reay is the latest name to be announced for the Race Of Champinship on 20-21 November at London's Olympic Stadium.

Hunter-Reay claimed his maiden Indianapolis 500 victory last year, taking victory by just 0.06 seconds from Helio Castroneves and holds the accolade as the most successful US driver still racing in open-wheeled competition, with more race victories than all other current open wheel drivers combined.

The 2012 IndyCar champion is also a winner in CART, ChampCar, ALMS and GrandAm and is ready to represent American in RoC this month to represent his nation.

“I'm delighted to be returning to the Race Of Champions for the third time,” Hunter-Reay said. “Fredrik Johnsson and his ROC team put on such a spectacular event and I've really enjoyed my first two appearances in Bangkok and Barbados. It's great fun to go head-to-head with some of the best drivers from the top motorsport disciplines from around the world.

“It's a unique challenge to jump in and out of all the cars – when you get such a short amount of seat time in each.Last year I won five out of my six races in the groups so I hope I'm starting to get the hang of it! Now I'll see if I can convert that into a good run through the knockout stages too. I'm proud to represent America, IndyCar and the Indy 500 in such a prestigious event and I look forward to hearing the noise of the crowds at London's former Olympic Stadium later this month.”

Hunter-Reay joins the likes of F1 stars including Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo, Felipe Massa, Nico Hulkenberg, Romain Grosjean and Susie Wolff as well as a host of stars from other four-wheeled and two-wheeled disciplines for the 2016 Race of Champions in London.
