Following on from the success of the
milliondollarhomepage.com website – set up to aid a youngster looking to get through university – British driver Scott Mansell has elected to set up a site of his own to try and secure a drive in the Indy Pro Series in 2006.
Mansell, who won the EuroBoss series in 2004, is looking to move to the States for the coming season having taken part in a limited IPS programme last season – although the youngster still needs to collect some extra funding if he is to try and follow in the footsteps of current IRL and Indy 500 champion Dan Wheldon.
Companies and individuals can support Mansell from as little as fifty dollars, which will get an image and link on
www.milliondollarmansell.com and also on his actual race car for the 2006 season.
Fifty dollars buys a 500 (20x25) pixel space on the
milliondollarmansell.com website and a logo space of 1 inch x 1.25 inches on his actual race car whilst the standard block costs one hundred dollars and buys 1000 pixels (20x50) and a 1 inch x 2.5 inch space on the car.
"Alex Tew set up the Million Dollar Homepage to fund his University studies and I am hoping to do the same in order to find the remainder of the budget to race in the USA this year,” Mansell said. “The big difference is that supporters and companies will also get their image/logo on the actual race car as well as
www.milliondollarmansell.com.
“I still need to find further sponsorship to compete in the USA in the Indy Pro series and I really think this offers companies great value for money. Companies can purchase as many blocks as they want starting at only fifty dollars. The more blocks they purchase the bigger their logo and the bigger the space on the car."
