Schmidt Peterson Motorsports has confirmed that British racer Jack Harvey will race in the #7 Honda for the final two races of the IndyCar season at Watkins Glen and Sonoma.

Harvey, 24, finished as runner-up in the Indy Lights series for Sam Schmidt’s team in 2014 and 2015, and made his first IndyCar start at the Indianapolis 500 earlier this year with Andretti Autosport.

Harvey will take the seat currently filled by Sebastian Saavedra at Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, the Colombian having stepped in for Pocono and Gateway following Mikhail Aleshin’s departure.
