ANDRETTI SNATCHES MOTEGI WIN.

Michael Andretti scored his first points of the year with a well judged victory in the re-scheduled Firehawk 500 at the Motegi oval, but only after Juan Montoya was robbed of a near certain win when he had to make an un-scheduled pit stop with less than 30 laps to go. Montoya would eventually finish 7th behind championship leader Paul Tracy.

Scotland's Dario Franchitti finished a close second ahead of Roberto Moreno and Cristiano Da Matta whilst Kenny Brack rounded out the top 5.

Full report and times to follow.
