I've read that the power of the new engines will be able to be regulated from anything between 550 and 700bhp.
I'm not an engineer but 700bhp from a 2.2 litre turbo engine? I hope reliability doesn't rear it's ugly head. The current Honda engine has been fantastic - I can't remember the last time a driver retired because of an engine letting go.
I hope they don't have rules that state 550bhp for the Indy 500. That's 100 bhp less than they have now. There would'nt be too much difference between the lap times of them and the Indylights.
As per the article, good decision for Ganassi to stick with Honda. If they do I'm sure less successful teams will follow suit. Be ironic though, wouldn't it if Lotus turned out to have the best engine
