I would agree that yes, the competition level has increased as he has risen through the ranks, but that is a given for all the drivers. The level of competition has not prevented his progress though. He is consistently among the top performers in this series, and will only get better with experience. At age 19, his best years are still to come. I suppose you feel that Lewis Hamilton's best years are behind him too? He clearly hasn't came close to his 2008 performance again. I think they both have much more to show in the future. FYI, Wickens may be in F1 before the current season ends, as D'ambrosio's backers can't pay Virgin for his seat and Wickens has the cash in hand.
