There was some close racing and congrats to the winners...
... but as an example of "affordable" sports car racing DP's are pathetic... 59 cars started the race but just 14 were DP's... that's almost the equivalent of a Le Mans field with just Audi and Peugeot (when they existed) entering as the only LMP cars and the rest of the field made up with GT cars... and I think of the 14, only 10 or so were the new DP3 cars!
The organisers should stop trying to compete with (and occasionally slagging off) the ALMS and the ACO and come up with an equivalency formula so at least the LMP2's and LMC's can race as well... but they probably can't because it would be a joke to slow the LMP cars by about the 5 seconds per lap it would require to be on the same pace
