He should have pursued racing contracts of the U.S All the venues hosting races in the U.S are privately funded, so they negotiate based on their ability to make money. On the other hand the international contracts are funded by the respective governments. They should try to get surfers' paradise back while Ryan Briscoe and Scott Dixon are still in their prime. But they need to do something quick because with Grand Am and ALMS merging that means a bigger juggernaut they have to deal with. Ryan Hunter-Reay is the latest American to win the championship since 2006. They're not making any effort to promote him. He should literally be everywhere, at every football game every baseball game, every radio and TV talk show, newspapers. And almost every Chevy commercial. But nothing at all. Well at least not the way you would expect for a champion of a major sport series.
