Rubens found out quickly that there are very good drivers in IndyCar, and the cars are extremely physical to drive. It is quite ironic that his best results came on ovals, and he struggled on the road and street courses.
He tried very hard to stay in IndyCar, but finishing 12th wasn't good enough to get teams and sponsors interested in a 40 year old driver.
I'm sure he'll be happy to race at home and finally be able to spend time with his family. Unfortunately, we won't hear much from him as coverage of Brazilian Stock cars is non existent in Europe and the States. Best wishes Rubens!
