Owen - I think she gave pretty good reasons as to why the performances were not there last year.
She was messed about quite a bit.
It is a tough one really. She has proved herself to be a competitive driver in other series and actually did quite well on road circuits which kind of bucks the trend as it seems that female drivers perform better on ovals.
But it could be that the larger, heavier Indycars with more downforce are a bit too much? They apparently have to be muscled around the road and street circuits (something Rubens struggled with) and with Indycar seemingly moving away from ovals due to their lower popularity you can see why the team might have had doubts.
Still a contract is a contract....
