Toronto - Friday practice times

Will Power set the fastest time of anyone during the first day of activity on the streets of Toronto ahead of Sunday afternoon's 85-lap Honda Indy Toronto race.
Will Power was back to familiar habits on IndyCar street and road courses by setting the fastest time of anyone during the two Friday practice sessions. His lap of 1:00.5581s was over a tenth of a second faster than Scott Dixon, who edged his Ganassi team mate Dario Franchitti to second place. Franchitti had set the fastest time of the shorter morning session.

The afternoon practice session saw faster times across the board for all drivers, making the combined practice timesheets a reprise of the practice 2 standings. There is a further one hour practice session on Saturday morning followed by the qualifying session at 12.50pm local time. The race itself is at 2.50pm local time on Sunday afternoon.

Practice 2

Will Power took charge of the timing screens at the very end of the one hour afternoon practice session on the streets of Toronto.

He saw off the Ganassi duo of Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti, while James Hinchcliffe impressed in fourth place at his home event ahead of Tony Kanaan and Justin Wilson, who continues to look rejuvenated with a return to road courses.
