New Hampshire - Thursday Practice 2

Dario Franchitti continued to top the timesheets in the extended day of practice at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, with fellow Ganassi drivers Scott Dixon and Graham Rahal coming closest.
It proved to be very much a Ganassi afternoon at the one mile New Hampshire Motor Speedway ahead of Sunday afternoon's MoveThatBlock.com Indy 225, with Dario Franchitti topping the times with a lap of 21.5665s after a three hour afternoon practice session.

Scott Dixon was just 0.0539s behind Franchitti, and Graham Rahal was also within a tenth of a second ahead of the KV Racing Technology trio of Tony Kanaan, Takuma Sato and EJ Viso who continue to impress.

Returning to IndyCar for the first time since her d├ębut in the Indianapolis 500 - and on her 28th birthday - Pippa Mann caused a full course caution midway through the afternoon when she spun at turn 2. The #30's rear win and suspension were damaged and Mann was unable to participate in the rest of the session, but she was cleared by the medical centre.

Franchitti's main title rival Will Power slumped to 19th place, with the short oval proving not to his liking as he was once again the lowest of the Penske drivers. Tomas Scheckter finished the day in 14th place substituting for the injured Wilson in the Dreyer and Reinbold #22.

There are no IndyCar or Indy Lights practice sessions on Friday, with track time instead being turned over to the American-Canadian Tour and Whelen Modified support series. IndyCar practice resumes on Saturday morning with qualifying in the afternoon.
