Long Beach - Friday practice times

A cold and breezy Long Beach with a track still drying from earlier rain meant a subdued day of practice on Friday for the IZOD IndyCar Series teams and drivers.
Marco Andretti topped the timesheets in the first practice session on the streets of Long Beach on Friday morning, with a time of 1:17.2298s (91.737mph) on the 1.968-mile, 11-turn temporary street circuit.

The second practice session was a wash-out, with the only runs consisting of a single tentative installation lap from Dario Franchitti, and his Ganassi team mate Scott Dixon crashing on his first lap out of the pit lane
