Wet overnight conditions left the streets of Sao Paulo awash, leading to a Sunday warm-up session marked by several run-off incidents and red flags.
Ryan Hunter-Reay took to the wet streets of Sao Paulo like a duck to water, setting a time almost a second clear over everyone else in Brazil.

In truth, his gap over the rest of the field was thanks to being out on track in front in the final part of the 30 minute Sunday morning warm-up session, after a succession of earlier red flag stoppages for minor incidents.

Hunter-Reay got a final flyer in as the chequered flag came out, although times were something of a lottery and if the session had been extended then times would surely have tumbled further as a dry line was already starting to emerge despite the still-falling light rain.
