Texas: Practice 2 times

Scott Dixon put in the best performance in the early evening final practice at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday, ahead of tonight's Firestone 550k race.
Ganassi's Scott Dixon posted the best lap seen so far by the IndyCar field at Texas Motor Speedway, with a speed of 216.139mph (24.2344s) easily faster than AJ Foyt Racing's Mike Conway in second.

Race polesitter Alex Tagliani was still looking in fine form in third position on the timesheets, and Takuma Sato was fourth fastest but appeared to suffer a big engine failure toward the end of the half hour session, which brought proceedings to an early conclusion.
