Edmonton: Sunday warm-up

Scott Dixon was the only man to put in a genuinely representative fast lap in the Sunday morning warm-up, putting him well ahead of Rubens Barrichello and Mike Conway.
A trouble-free half hour of shakedown activity on the the 2.24-mile, 13-turn temporary circuit at Edmonton City Center Airport saw Scott Dixon go fastest with a lap of 1:16.9006s, over half a second ahead of Rubens Barrichello and Mike Conway.

With few cars really pushing for fast laps and instead concentrating on race set-ups, track familiarisation and fine-tuning their braking points into the trickiest corners, there were no incidents requiring a red flag stoppage - although Helio Castroneves earned a slap-on-the-wrist drive-thru for administering a wake-up call to Ed Carpenter for getting underfoot late in the session.
