Mid-Ohio: Practice 2 times

Justin Wilson ended up on top of the timesheets at the end of the second practice session at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, 0.1106s ahead of Simon Pagenaud.
Dale Coyne Racing's Justin Wilson ended up with the top time in the second Honda Indy 200 practice session at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course early on Saturday morning, thanks to being the last man out on track setting a fast time.

Wilson's time was 1:06.3018s, 0.1106s ahead of Schmidt-Hamilton Motorsports' Simon Pagenaud, with Will Power, James Hinchcliffe, Scott Dixon and Ryan Hunter-Reay filling out the top six. Dixon was frustrated not to be able to set a quicker lap toward the end because of finding himself blocked by Wilson's team mate and compatriot James Jakes.

Marco Andretti had led the early part of the session but finished in 11th place by the end, still only four tenths off Wilson's time in what proved to abe a tightly packed field.

Penske's Helio Castroneves was another driver in contention for the fastest lap early on, but a clash with AJ Foyt Racing's Mike Conway 15 minutes from the end brought out the only red flag of the session and sent Castroneves to the medical centre with a badly sprained wrist after his hand got caught in the steering wheel as it snapped away.
