IndyCar » Mid-Ohio: Race results

Against all the odds, the Honda Indy 200 was the second consecutive caution-free race of 2012 and the rain stayed away, leaving Scott Dixon to win the race in pit lane from Will Power.
A dry, caution-free Honda Indy 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course saw Will Power dominate and lead the first 57 laps of the 85-lap race, but then fall foul to a better pit stop by the Ganassi team that handed Scott Dixon the race win.

Simon Pagenaud triumphed in an all-French battle for third place after a late run-off by Sebastien Bourdais, while rounding out the top six were James Hinchcliffe and Tony Kanaan, the best of those attempting a three-stop strategy.

Oriol Servia lost seven laps with technical problems, and Ryan Hunter-Reay eventually retired with engine problems. Dario Franchitti lost a potential top six finish when he wrecked his front wing on the back of James Hinchcliffe's car as the latter exited pit lane.
