IndyCar » Baltimore: Practice 3 times

Ryan Briscoe's time of 1:19.7635s (92.072mph) on a drying 2.04-mile, 13-turn track - complete with its brand new chicane - was just 11 thousandths of a second faster than Mike Conway on Saturday morning.
Penske's Ryan Briscoe led the times after the third one-hour practice for this weekend's Grand Prix of Baltimore, which was held on Saturday morning ahead of qualifying.

As well as the new chicane on the frontstretch that had been built overnight, drivers also had to cope with light rain for most of the session until conditions dried near the end.

There were three stoppages during the session, with Takuma Sato spinning at pit exit at the start, EJ Viso getting into the turn 1 tyres just after the quarter hour mark, and Ryan Hunter-Reay spinning in turn 7 halfway through the session.

JR Hildebrand also battered his car, losing his right front wing in a minor mid-session incident and then doing more significant damage at the end of the hour when he made contact with the wall. "Pretty big hit out of the chicane in final practice, just lost it over curbs and tracks," he posted on Twitter, adding that he was annoyed that "I gave the boys so much work to fix it."
