IndyCar » Baltimore: Practice 4 times

Schmidt-Hamilton Motorsport's Simon Pagenaud topped the timesheets in the Sunday morning warm-up session in Baltimore ahead of this afternoon's IZOD IndyCar Series race.
Simon Pagenaud rebounded from his accident in qualifying on Saturday to top the times after the half-hour Sunday morning warm-up session ahead of this afternoon's Grand Prix of Baltimore on Friday morning.

Pagenaud set a lap of 1:18.7420s (93.267mph) in the half hour morning warm-up, putting him just 0.0075s ahead of Scott Dixon on the timesheets. Dixon will start the race on the front row alongside polesitter Will Power, who put in a leisurely sixth fastest time of the morning in his #12 Penske car.

Power's team mate Ryan Briscoe brought out the only red flag of the period at the midway point, when he went into the tyres in turn 5 and sustained nose damage.

All 25 drivers were able to get out on track for their race day shakedown, after several teams were left repairing some quite extensive damage on a number of the cars overnight which had been sustained in practice and qualifying on Saturday.

To address the number of incidents that arose, race director Beaux Barfield ordered a short stack of tires to be added overnight at the apex of the first chicane, and that the left-hand concrete barrier should be moved to a less-harsh angle.
