Iowa: Practice 1 times

Tony Kanaan topped the sole practice session timesheets at the 7/8ths-mile Iowa Speedway ahead of Sunday's Iowa Corn Indy 250 race.
KV Racing Technology's Tony Kanaan topped the 75-minute practice session at Iowa Speedway on Saturday, the sole track time that the teams and drivers will get before heading into qualifying.

The session was incident-free and uninterrupted, save for a brief track inspection midway through.

Qualifying for the Iowa Corn Indy 250 presented by DEKALB takes place at 3pm local time (9pm BST) but unlike the usual IZOD IndyCar Series format it will not set the starting grid. Instead, it will decide who will take part in which one of three heat races later this evening, which will themselves set the grid order for Sunday afternoon's race.
