Helio Castroneves did everything right - he blew away the competition in the qualifying session deciding the heat line up and then led every single lap of his own heat race to claim the points for pole position.

But when it comes to the start of the race, Castroneves won't be on the front row - he'll be back on row six, having been demoted ten spots for an unapproved engine change as a result of needing a new Chevy unit in the #3 Penske car ahead of the scheduled 2000 mile lifespan.

Castroneves is not alone: Scott Dixon, Takuma Sato, James Jakes, Ana Beatriz and Josef Newgarden all have similar ten place grid drops.
