LAA focused on title as Alphand recovers

Luc Alphand Aventures team manager Philippe Poincloux says the Corvette squad is fully focused on securing the Le Mans Series GT1 title as team boss Luc Alphand continues his recovery from injuries sustained in his motorcycle accident.

Alphand was left with spinal injuries in the accident, but having undergone surgery, the former Dakar winner has now returned home to rest and is expected to make a full recovery.

In the meantime, the team will remain focused on the goal set at the start of the season and will head to the next round of the season in Portugal looking to take a step closer to the GT1 title.

“We are going to concentrate all our energy on the 1000 km of Portimao where our aim in this discipline is to win the GT1 title for the second consecutive year,” Poincloux said. “This meeting, which will be held at night for the second time in the history of the Le Mans Series Championship, should offer a wonderful show.”
