It will be great to see "Our Nige" charging round Le Mans in the LMP1 class, the roads from the coast to La Sarthe are normally packed with Brits so they had better lay on some more ferries-any ideas where we are are all gonna stay?

Sword of Truth

Should be Sword of Sh1te, Mansell is one of the best racers Britain has produced, so he made his opinions known so what? he was brilliant in the car, that's what should count.

Mansell one of the greats? Do me a favour...

Described in Autosport review of the F1 year when he was driving a Lotus as a "journeyman driver who will never be world champion".

He got lucky with the right car in the right year at the right time (a bit like Damon Hill), but has always been a whining, moaning, self centred git with a massively inflated opinion of himself.
And while we're at it, neither of his two sons could drive a nail into a bit of wood, or pass wind if their lives depended on it - 100% examples that driving the thing aint the hard bit, getting on the grid is - but if daddys name and money can grease the wheels, watch those doors open.
Mansell mania my ****!

While I wish the new Mansell team well, I hope it works better than the Mansell-Madgwick team did some years ago. British motorsport needs ability on and off the track, rather than personalities sniping at each other a la Ferrari of times past. Go for it guys, but be known for on track results rather than off track squabbling.

I agree with SoT on this one.

He may be a good driver but a bigger whinger I've yet to see. He wasn't just a bad looser, he was even a bad winner!

I remember Murray Walker interviewing him after a win..."Well murray, it wasn't as easy as it looked"

I pi$$ed myself when he was driven into a bridge on an open top car, and then Murray poked his bruise a bit later.
