HENRI PESCAROLOs Life has been MOTOR RACING and for you to slander him is disgusting what have you done with your life you sad little person. I have met MR PESCAROLO and I can tell you he is a real Gentleman, his career has lasted nearly FIFTY years first as a DRIVER an a ENTRANT and your knowledge of MOTORSPORT would amount to ZERO.

Henri Pescarolo was a winning driver and his team evoked the true spirit of the Le Mans challenge. Bravo to your fighting spirit and we hope to see you and your team back in the near future.

"I only suffered from the failure of those who were to be my main sponsor". I dont know if he is trying to point the finger at someone other than himself.......that said, in these recessionary times, sponsors are not exactly queuing up to sponsor racers and cars particularly in LeMans as there isnt enough TV/ coverage to justify the expense. It goes without saying its still a sad day for for Pescarlo and I hope he finds something to keep him racing.

Woah, calm down Derek...
Yeah, I put some emphasis on the bad decision he appears to have made, it seems you guys may have slipped the "It's a shame" bit right out of your head.

In hindsight I should have added more to that bit, because I do have some respect for him having been able to take a privateer team to the front, but the moment he bought that Aston tub, I thought "What are you doing?"...

I was a big fan pf pescarolo. I remember holding my head when their 908 Peugeot crashed. It seems like that was the start of the downward spiral.

But really like Angry F1 fan, i could not believe they had decided to race the failed Aston Martin chassis.

Dome was pretty much giving him a car for free, and were willing to develop it throughout the season, with a detachment of mechanics. All he had to do was find the budget to race it. They found the budget by used the budget on developing the Aston tub. When they started missing WEC races and after the performance at Lemans the sponsors wanted out. And so did his luxury racing partners. Tey should have just focused on the dome. Given that Dome helped Toyota develop their car, they could have really developed their own project if Henri had focused on solely running the dome.

But since the dome remains undeveloped they would not want to develop the car for just 1 year and have all new regulations for 2014.

Pescarolo should take hold

Pescarolo should take hold of an LMP1 Oak-Pescarolo and fit a Honda engine to it, and start fine tuning it for next season.

And he should send a delegation to start lobbying Porsche for a car in 2014.

I feel I need to straighten a few things out -

1) The Peugeot crash cost Pescarolo a LOT of money that he wasn't prepared for (despite some things said in the press since).

2) The Dome was ALWAYS a limited deal for Spa and Le Mans when it was offered to Pescarolo. There are MANY news stories etc to confirm this. Dome only started talking about developing the car more when it was repeatedly touted as a possible alternative to Lolas.

Also Dome did NOT help Toyota develop their current car. This has also been well reported and is a known area of friction between Dome and Toyota.

3) The Pescarolo 03 was well on its way before the Dome program was announced. Problems with sponsors not providing money started long before either car hit the track. Also problems with excess vibration and lack of power from the Judd engines caused almost every Judd runner issues at Le Mans.

Dome only picked up the tab for Spa and LeMans. But they wanted to give the car to Henri and also supply engineers, on condition that he found a budget to run it in the WEC. They would have let him have the car for 2013 as well if he had ran it in 2012.

Sure the Pescarolo 03 was being worked on, but when Dome came and was offering a free car and development throughout the season, based on the speed of their car in 2008 at lemans, I would have ditched the Pescarolo 03 and focused on the Dome.

The current Dome was only tailored to the 2012 regulations right before the season. Given that it was still on pace with the Oak-Pescarolo, during the season it would have picked up some serious pace if developed further.
